On Saturday August 18th, 2018 74 upper class students led over 250 first-year UVM students as they began their University of Vermont experience through TREK, a unique, 7-day first year enrichment program sponsored by UVM's Department of Student Life. For 39 years, UVM's TREK program has sent new students all over the state of Vermont to explore the region's wilderness, develop leadership skills, and work on community service projects. TREK is one of the biggest and most diverse new-student, collegiate, community building programs in the northeast region. Known as TREK leaders, these students provided and maintained a safe, healthy and supportive group atmosphere for their student participants while exploring the expansive outdoor environments of northern Vermont and it's neighboring states through both Wilderness and Service TREK programs.

The UVM Honors College enrolls some of the most capable students from the full spectrum of academic programs at UVM and provides a rigorous, multi-disciplinary academic challenge that complements and enriches the entire undergraduate experience.

Kennesaw State University recently welcomed its newest class of graduates. Over 1,300 students earned bachelor's, master's or doctoral degrees during Summer 2018 commencement ceremonies in July.

Wilkes University welcomes nearly 700 first year students who make up the University's newest class.

Loyola University Maryland recognized the class of 2018 at its 166th Commencement Exercises on May 19, 2018.

RIT conferred 4,747 degrees this academic year at all its campuses-including in Croatia, Dubai, Kosovo and China. The university held its 133rd annual commencement celebration in May.

Clemson University has announced the spring 2018 President's List.

Students with a term GPA of 3.50 or higher were recognized for their academic achievement and named to Dean's List for Spring 2018.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Students have been named to the University of Delaware Dean's List for the Spring 2018 semester.

Muhlenberg College celebrated its 170th Commencement on May 18, 2018. During the ceremony, which was held on the College Green, 511 students were awarded their undergraduate degrees.

To be eligible for the President's List, degree-seeking students must have earned a GPA of at least 4.0 for a minimum of nine semester hours of academic credit taken at Georgia State during the fall or spring term with no incompletes for the semester. Eligible students must have a minimum GPA of 2.0 for all classes taken at Georgia State.

To be named to the dean's list, students must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Some 3,072 students were awarded degrees during the University of Vermont's 217th commencement ceremonies. Alexander Nemerov, alumnus and one of the nations' leading art historians and scholar of cultural history, delivered the address.

On May 9, more than 300 Wesleyan students received University prizes and awards during a reception. Wesleyan's awards, prizes, and scholarships program connects recipients to the legacies of alumni, administrators, faculty, and friends of the university whose lives and work are honored through endowed gifts. Recipients of the academic scholarships, fellowships, and prizes represent the highest ideals of Wesleyan--intellectual curiosity, academic excellence, creative expressoin, leadership, and service.

The following students have been named to the dean's list at Bates College for the winter semester ending in April 2018.

Muhlenberg encourages students in every major to study abroad while earning college credit towards their degree. In fact, 52.4% of our graduates from the Class of 2017 studied abroad during their college career. The College supports four discipline-specific study abroad opportunities as well as offering over 100 approved programs in Europe, Asia, Oceania, Latin America and Africa.

Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its fall 2017 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits.

Clemson University has announced the President's List for the fall 2017 semester.

At the 151st commencement ceremonies at Frostburg State University in December, the following area residents were among the nearly 400 total candidates for degrees.

To be eligible for the President's List, students must earn a 4.0 GPA for the semester and complete at least nine semester hours of academic credit with no incompletes.

The Georgia Institute of Technology presented degrees to approximately 3,100 undergraduate and graduate students during the Institute's 254th Commencement exercises on December 15-16 2017, at the McCamish Pavilion.

The following students from the area have been named to the dean's list at Frostburg State University in recognition of outstanding academic achievement for the fall 2017 semester. To be eligible, a student must undertake a minimum of 12 credit hours and earn a cumulative semester grade point average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.
